The Abrion Sector was a region of the galaxy deep in the Outer Rim. It could be found in the junction of multiple hyperspace trading lanes and was home to the important Rishi System, where a major conflict broke out during the galactic war known as The Clone Wars. This sector was also home to the tropical world of Scarif, which is the location that Jyn Erso and Cassian Jeron Andor were able to steal the Death Star plans from the Empire. The Abrion sector also incuded many agricultural worlds like Teos, Ukio, Gibad and the Abrion Major system.

When the Clone Wars broke out, the Abrion Major sector wars represented by a female senator named Esu Rotsino. She led her system succeeded from the Republic, and joining Count Dooku's new Separtist state.

In 5 BBY ISB Supervisor Jung, who oversaw the Abrion Sector, requested that additional resources be directed to protect traffic in the region due to an expected increase in Imperial shipments to Scarif. ^[1]
