During the First Battle of Geonosis, a regiment of the Grand Army of the Republic was deployed to the Petranaki Arena, rescuing the survivors of Jedi assault team that was attempting to rescue Senator Padmé Amidala, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padawan Anakin Skywalker. Commanded by Grand Master Yoda, the regiment of clone troopers arrived in LAAT/i gunships and arrived at the plains of Geonosis to continue the battle. The regiment was among the forces of the two battle armies that were dispatched to Geonosis.
