Xizor Salad

Xizor Salad was a simple, refreshing salad that was edible by Artiodacs and made with lettuce, sprouts, and fresh cheese crisps. It was then dressed with Chadian dressing and could optionally be topped with bacon. The salad's peculiar namesake was rumored to be Prince Xizor, a Falleen crime lord. However, Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs thought that the rumor was likely only a legend.

In 34 ABY, Tuggs published a recipe for Xizor Salad in his The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook. In the book, he noted his opinion on the salad's name's rumored origin and recommended adding crumbled bacon to supplement the salad's lack of meat. He also described the salad's taste as "divine."

Xizor Salad was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2019 recipe book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, written by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe for the salad's cheese crisps requires parmesan cheese and pepper, and the salad itself calls for iceberg lettuce, pea sprouts, bacon, and Chadian dressing, which received a recipe of its own earlier in the book.

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Xizor salad was introduced in the 2009 StarWars.com Hyperspace-exclusive article "Dining at Dex's." Gregory Walker, its author, created Xizor salad as a joke, naming it as part of his attempt to create Star Wars food puns.
