Wooriid

Wooriids were an amphibious carnivore native to Glee Anselm, the home planet of Jedi Master Kit Fisto.

Wooriids had a slimy skin that discharged neurotoxins, which would paralyze aquatic birds that rested on the creature's back awaiting a chance to scavenge its leftovers, and turned the waterfowl into easy prey for the wooriid. Aquatic birds also picked the scraps from the beasts' maw, although thereby risked to be eaten by the wooriid itself.

Wooriids were first mentioned in the fifth issue of the comic book miniseries Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu, written by Matt Owens and published on December 27, 2017 by Marvel Comics. In the 2022 non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, during a boss battle against Jango Fett in the game's adaptation of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Fisto responds to the insult "Jedi dogs" by suggesting that it would be more appropriate to call him a wooriid, as his homeworld has no dogs.
