Rollback is a function that allows users to quickly revert an article to an earlier state, typically in response to vandalism or the addition of incorrect information. On Wookieepedia, all administrators have the Rollback ability, while regular users may additionally be granted this privilege by the community as an indication of trust. Users may be nominated for Rollback at Wookieepedia:Requests for user rights.
While any user on Wookieepedia can revert a page to an earlier version, users with Rollback have a faster, automated tool to perform this function. For users with Rollback, a [] link will appear next to edits on the Recent Changes log, user contributions pages, diff pages, and page histories.
Clicking the link reverts the page to the last edit not authored by the user being reverted. An automatic edit summary of (Reverted edits by X (talk) to last version by Y) appears and is marked as a minor change. If someone else edits the page before the "rollback" link is clicked, an error message will appear. For more information, see Help:Reverting.
