The Winds of Ruin, also known as simply Ruin, were a criminal group who captured the musician Tu-Wane Jipps and had him play music for them at their . After Jibbs' old gambling partner Tobias Beckett overheard some Winds of Ruin members mention Jipps in a cantina, Beckett got himself captured in order to try and rescue Jipps. Beckett's partner, Val, then broke him out of the Ruin's jail and the pair then fought their way through various Ruin thugs and droids in order to escape with the musician.
The Winds of Ruin appeared in the comic story "Tales of Villainy: Credits," which was published in Star Wars Adventures (2020) 4 on March 24, 2021. The story was written by Jordan Clark and illustrated by Yael Nathan.
