Weathered Monument

The Weathered Monument was a large, ornamented Zeffonian statue created by the ancient Zeffonians that contained a large interior which had a staircase. It was situated on the Outer Rim Territories planet Zeffo. It was sandwiched between the Windswept Ruins, Gusty Bluffs and by the Imperial Era, the Imperial Headquarters and the Auger Pulverizers. Surrounding the area, flora such as the Royal Fluzz had grown there, and fauna such as the subterranean, verminous Scazz inhabited the area. The area also contained vents that were unlocked in 14 BBY by Cal Kestis when he explored the Tomb of Eilram.

By 14 BBY, the Galactic Empire used the inside of the statue to build a base made of durasteel, which led to the back of the statue being destroyed. The base was guarded by stormtroopers, heavy weapons stormtroopers and scout troopers. A MK-270 Imperial Pulverizer and a workbench were located inside the base. The monument contained a zipline that went to the Imperial Headquarters.

In 14 BBY, Kestis explored the Weathered Monument and fought the guards the Galactic Empire posted there. There he upgraded BD-1 by adding a Scomp Link Module that allowed BD-1 to open locked doors or chests, or slice locks. Kestis also collected a Royal Fluzz seed in the surrounding area and was subsequently grown in a terrarium owned by his companion Greez Dritus aboard the Latero Spaceworks S-161 "Stinger" XL Luxury yacht, the "Stinger Mantis." The seeds collected were harvested as payment for Dritus' assistance in the Mantis crew's mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.
