Weather control was a system that manipulated planet's weather. It involved the gathering and clearing of clouds, creating a phenomenon that cleansed skyscrapers, as well as the control and regulation of other natural phenomenons, such as rain and storms. One such system operated on Coruscant, the cosmopolitan Core World that the Galactic Empire claimed as its capital planet. As recounted by the Imperial officer Wilhuff Tarkin, weather control was amongst other luxuries of Coruscant that his Outer Rim homeworld of Eriadu lacked.
