Warba Calip was a Force-sensitive human female who grew up on Jedha, four blocks away from the Temple of the Kyber, where she went to listen to the Guardians of the Whills. She eventually came to live on the desert planet Sergia, where she encountered Luke Skywalker, who had visited Sergia on a mission for the Rebel Alliance. Skywalker believed that Calip would be able to train him into using the Force, but she was more interested in acquiring the lightsaber that he used. Calip eventually stole Skywalker's lightsaber, but Skywalker managed to pursue Calip and convince her to give it back.
