While located in Jibuto's city center, the Wanton Wellspring was a hole-in-the-wall location. They served strong drinks, featured live music, including a Twi'lek band, and Obitt considered its wait staff to be attractive, particularly the Dressellian Woana. Gamorrean bouncers would work the door. The bartender was a four-armed humanoid. During the Imperial Era, stormtroopers would respond to incidents at the cantina and detain any troublemakers. Local police previously did not interfere with many of the activities at the cantina, and the Imperial garrison nearby meant more secrecy was required. The Empire's presence disrupted the relationship between the cantina and local police, would warn the owners of the Wanton Wellspring about raids.
As a haven and headquarters for smugglers and rogues of all kinds, the Wanton Wellspring had a back room reserved for private groups that also served as a hidden area to stash illegal substances if the authorities inspected the premises. The room could fit over a dozen people and had a ten-year-old holoprojector that could display maps and even entertainment holos.
