Wookieepedia:Canon policy/Fantasy Flight Games


The official canon status of Star Wars roleplaying and gaming material published by Fantasy Flight Games has not been publicly determined by the Lucasfilm Story Group. In the absence of any such declaration, Wookieepedia has approved an internal system for documenting this information. The following page lists the full catalogue of Star Wars games published by Fantasy Flight Games, designating each item according to either the Canon or Legends continuity for the purposes of Wookieepedia article coverage.

Star Wars Roleplaying


NOTES:

  • Sourcebooks from Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and Force and Destiny designated as "BOTH" shall apply to both the Canon and Legends continuities, in the same way that Wookieepedia treats the Star Warsoriginal trilogy and prequel trilogy films and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, Canon-exclusive subjects from these books shall remain exclusive to the Canon continuity. For example, Star Wars Rebels content from Nexus of Power shall not be added to Legends pages.
  • Individual cards from the Star Wars RoleplayingSpecialization Decks and Adversary Decks contain reprinted information from specific Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, Force and Destiny, or Era Sourcebooks books and thus shall be treated the same as the books to which they correspond. For example, the Whaladon card from the Imperials and Rebels III Adversary Deck corresponds to Strongholds of Resistance and thus shall be considered Legends.

Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game 30th Anniversary Edition


The Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game 30th Anniversary Edition boxed set from Fantasy Flight Games reprints the original West End Games Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game sourcebooks Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and The Star Wars Sourcebook, which are part of Legends. These reprints shall also be considered Legends.

Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition


NOTES:

  • Items designated as "SPLIT" are to divide their contents between Canon and Legends according to whether a given subject has previously reentered the Canon continuity. For example, the Slave I Expansion Pack includes Emon Azzameen and the Andrasta, which are exclusive to Legends and thus shall be treated as such. Any brand-new content shall be considered Canon.
  • For future releases, expansions whose content is entirely Canon shall be considered CANON; expansions that are majority Canon shall be considered CANON; expansions that are entirely Legends shall be considered LEGENDS; expansions that are majority Legends shall be considered SPLIT; and Conversion Kits with a mixture of Canon and Legends shall be considered SPLIT.

Star Wars: Armada
