Vonda N. McIntyre was the author of The Crystal Star, as well as a number of Star Trek books and other original novels. She also wrote short stories and poems, and was a contributor to the blog Book View Cafe. She passed away on April 1, 2019, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
