Vin

Vin was a Muun Jedi Master of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. In 382 BBY, after Jedi Master Zallah Macri and her Padawan Kevmo Zink were killed on the planet Dalna, Vin and Jedi Knight Azlin Rell met at the Kyber Arch in the planet Coruscant's Jedi Temple to honor their lives and sacrifice. Although they did not have Macri and Zink's kyber crystals, Vin wished to eventually place the crystals of Macri, Zink, and all deceased Jedi in the Kyber Arch, yet recognized it was a grim duty. When Rell expressed interest in investigating their deaths, Vin empathized with him, but urged him to be careful. As he left Vin alone in the room, Rell told them he would search for answers in history. Vin had blue eyes, tan skin, and wore brown and white Jedi robes.

Vin appeared in the one-shot comic The High Republic Adventures: Quest of the Jedi, written by Claudia Gray, illustrated by Fico Ossio, and published by Dark Horse Comics on April 26, 2023 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia initiative's Phase II. In a preview for the issue released on April 20 of that year, Vin's original first line implied that Vin and Azlin Rell had placed Zallah Macri and Kevmo Zink's kyber crystals on the Kyber Arch. As the 2022 novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit—written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton—depicts both Macri and Zink's lightsabers being taken by members of the Path of the Open Hand cult and not retrieved by Rell, the final version of the comic reworded the line and added "I hope that one day we will be able to do so for all who have fallen" to it, eliminating the discrepancy.
