Viceroy of the Trade Federation

The Viceroy of the Trade Federation was the senior executive position of the Trade Federation conglomerate. By the time of the megacorporation's invasion of the planet Naboo in 32 BBY, the Sith Lord Darth Sidious had manipulated Nute Gunray's rise to the position. Gunray served as Viceroy of the Trade Federation during the invasion and, despite facing several trials in the Supreme Court, kept the title during the subsequent Clone Wars. The Viceroy was killed on Mustafar in 19 BBY by Sidious' new apprentice, Darth Vader.

The Viceroy of the Trade Federation title first appeared through Nute Gunray in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, the first installment of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
