In the Star Wars Legends continuity, vibropicks were first mentioned in West End Games 1987 The Star Wars Sourcebook, and first appeared in a 1991 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game titled Graveyard of Alderaan. In Star Wars canon, vibropicks were first named in a digital card, in the 2015 app Star Wars: Card Trader.
