The family of the human engineer Vharn was from the mining planet Sorgal 12. During the Imperial Era, the family, which included his father and sister were enslaved by the Galactic Empire, though Vharn had been off-planet at the time. He eventually joined the Rebel Alliance to attempt to free his family, but was kiled by the bounty hunter Beilert Valance after he discovered Vharn's plans to betray the Rebellion.
