Vekker was a member of the Imperial Intelligence who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Sergeant Vekker was serving under the orders of Lieutenant Jevan Monsul who was based in Bestine, on the planet Tatooine. In 1 ABY, Lieutenant Monsul was leading the investigation about the disappearance of Cal Handro, a smuggler involved in slave trade for Imperial-aligned Trandoshans as well as in spice trafficking for the Rebel Alliance. Handro was wanted by the Empire but he had disappeared after his ship crashed on Naboo's moon of Rori Sergeant Vekker contacted the family of Cal Handro to notify the disappearance of the pilot and urge the family to cooperate fully in Lieutenant Monsul's investigation.
Sergeant Vekker was mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. With the release of the "Publish 14," on March 9, 2005, Sergeant Vekker was mentioned in the main loading screen styled as a in-universe communication that introduced the first chapter of the "Secrets of the Syren" questline.
