This defensive, planetary ion cannon, built by Kuat Drive Yards, was the most powerful planet-based artillery available on the market a few years before the Battle of Yavin 4. It possessed nearly twice the firepower of its predecessor, the v-150 and also had its own power generator.
One of these cannons was supposed to be installed on Mytus VII, to defend the Corporate Sector Authority prison Stars' End. However, the prison was destroyed before the defensive piece could be installed.
