Hello! I saw your question on JangFett's talkpage and decided to try to answer it for you. The reason we source information is to make sure it comes from a reliable source (usually a book, video game, or such that has been declared canon by Lucasfilm.) To source something you add <ref name= and then a short name in quotation marks of the source you got the information from. So, for example, if I was going to attribute something to the book Scoundrels I would start by writing <ref name="Scoundrels"> right after the information I am sourcing. I would then have to add the source right after the closing > So I would write <ref name="Scoundrels">''[[Scoundrels]]''</ref>. If there was any information later in the article I needed to attribute to the same source I would only have to write <ref name="Scoundrels" /> since I have already used this source once in the article (notice I closed it with /> instead of just >). I hope this makes sense. If not feel free to ask me on my talk page. For more about sourcing visit Wookieepedia:Sourcing and Wookieepedia:Attribution. If you want to practice sourcing information without taking the chance of messing up on an article you can do so in the sandbox. Again, if you need any more help feel free to ask and I will do my best to help (or will refer you to someone who can help.) - Princess GLG 22:14, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
