Hello , welcome to my profile. I'm a long-term Star Wars fan, though my knowledge largely lies in canon material.

I attended my first Star Wars Celebration in 2023 and had an amazing experience!

My Star Wars history

I was first introduced to Star Wars at around age 6 through A New Hope, and subsequently watched the next two original trilogy films, then the prequels and The Clone Wars. I became interested in a wide range of aspects regarding Star Wars, including minor details and characters. I naturally found myself able to easily memorise these details, many of which I picked up from books, video games, and LEGO sets.

The first Star Wars film I watched in theatres was The Force Awakens. Up until this point I had never lost interest in the franchise, but as the beginning of a new age of Star Wars storytelling, this film marked a point in which I could expand my love for the series even more. I watched the following Skywalker Saga releases in cinemas, as well as Rogue One, and watched through all of Rebels shortly after the show's finale premiered.

Now in a golden age of Star Wars content, I'm more invested than ever before. I've enjoyed all the Disney+ shows so far, and although I have some issues with the sequel trilogy, I look forward to seeing stories expand on and enhance this era. In 2023, I watched through Resistance, which I enjoyed a lot more than I expected.

My favourite era of Star Wars is probably the prequel era as I have always loved those films as well as the TV shows that take place in it, as well as the characters and technology that appear in them. One of the biggest aspects of Star Wars that I find interesting is the vast amount of characters, species, vehicles, and locations that exist, and I enjoy learning about and memorising as much of them as I can.

My Star Wars Celebration experience

Star Wars Celebration 2023 was not only my first celebration, but also my first ever convention. I had an amazing time across all 4 days and was lucky enough to get into every panel that I wanted.

On day 1, I saw the studio showcase streamed from another stage, with previews/announcements for various new shows and movies which look great. Later on I got the opportunity to see an early screening of Chapter 23 of The Mandalorian.

On day 2, I saw another stream, this time for Ahsoka. The atmosphere during the reveal of Grand Admiral Thrawn was incredible, and the show is one of my most anticipated upcoming projects. I also attended a live panel with the cast and crew of The Clone Wars, and was thrilled with the announcement of a second season of Tales of the Jedi.

On day 3, I saw the villains of the sequel trilogy panel live, an interview with Ian McDiarmid, Andy Serkis and Gwendoline Christie. In the afternoon I was very lucky with getting front row seats to the cosplay competition and the following animation game night starring the cast of The Clone Wars!

Lastly, on the final day I was able to see the streamed Bad Batch panel with an exclusive teaser for season 3, as well as a live presentation from Doug Chiang.

The celebration experience was better than I could have imagined and although tiring it was completely worth it to see everything that I did.
