An untitled Star Wars film prominently featuring Tatooine was reportedly in development as part of the stand-alone spin-offs from the Star Wars saga, much like 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story. By August 15, 2018, art director and designer Neil Lamont said that an Anthology film featuring the planet Tatooine was in development by Disney. One day later, however, MovieWeb reported that the film has been cancelled.
