Unity was constructed in 3964 BBY and was located beneath the planetary crust of Caillte, so it it could be concealed from detection. It was intended to serve as a forward supply post, to assist with the Mandalorian advance through the Mid Rim, during the Mandalorian Wars. However, it soon took on a new role, under the influence of the Mandalorian Feruun Lern. Lern invited other people to join him at the base and rediscover the warriors within themselves and became new Mandalorian warriors.
At the end of the Mandalorian Wars, Lern and many of his comrades left Unity, to participate in the Battle of Malachor V. In their absence, the base was stripped by a number of Neo-Crusaders who had abandoned their warrior traditions. Lern and his followers returned to the base, but abandoned it during the Jedi Civil War, to join forces with the Mandalorian Canderous Ordo.
In 405 BBY, the remains of the outpost were discovered by the Corporate Sector Authority, during the construction of a scientific outpost on Caillte.
