A regiment of sandtroopers served the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army during the Galactic Civil War, and served as part of the famed and elite 501st Legion, Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader's personal legion. Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin and Darth Vader dispatched Commander Praji and the regiment to retrieve the stolen Death Star plans in the possession of two Rebel Alliance droids, joining the local garrison in the process. Foot Patrol 7 and were part of the regiment.
