A plague was used by Mother Sssl to try and eliminate the Imperials at Fortress Vader, on Mustafar. Transmitted through bites, it turned the infectees into brainless drones under Sssl's control. Darth Vader managed to get rid of Sssl and all the drones by making them plunge into a river of lava.
