In 34 ABY, they contacted the ace pilot and First Order informant Marnia Un'la'na, who had arrived on the Colossus to participate in the All Aces Battle Royale race. The Ugnaught wished to discuss the pilot's next First Order assignment, which was to transmit a large data cache to the Major Elrik Vonreg during the race, relying on the event's heavy comm traffic to hide the transmission.
In their face-to-face meeting, Un'la'na was annoyed with the Ugnaught for contacting her and jeopardizing the initiative, reiterating that she would get the job done. The Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono and the droid BB-8 overheard their conversation and informed their superior, the pilot Poe Dameron, of Un'la'na and the Ugnaught's meeting. Later, during the All Aces Battle Royale, Xiono used an encryption recorder to intercept Un'la'na's First Order data cache and deliver the intel to the Resistance.
