During Berch Teller's insurgent campaign in 14 BBY, the Stellar Vista was dragged out of hyperspace and rammed an Imperial warship, critically damaging the liner. A prototype Immobilizer 418 cruiser's gravity well projector had malfunctioned during an operation to recapture Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's stolen corvette Carrion Spike, resulting in a massive hyperspace accident that claimed 1,100 lives aboard the Stellar Vista. The captain then called for assistance.
