An individual served as the commander of the New Republic's Hail Squadron around the time of the battle in the Haldeen sector. Sometime after the battle, the engineer Sergeant Ragnell informed Alphabet Leader Yrica Quell that Hail Squadron still had four ships too broke to fly aboard the Lodestar and that the squadron's commander had been nagging at her every day about it.
