A Devaronian was present in a public house in the oldest settlement on the planet Dantooine around 381 BBY when Marda Ro—the Evereni founder of a group of pirates who would eventually become the Nihil—visited it during her hunt for others of her species. The Devaronian got his horns in Ro's face, to which she retaliated by tossing a mug of beer that she had ordered into his face. Ro later mentioned her interaction with the Devaronian in a message she recorded for her descendants. By 252 BBY, during his youth, Ro's great-great-grandson Marchion Ro had listened to her journal, including the message where the Devaronian was mentioned.
