Mid Captain Ufsa'mak'ro, first officer of Mitth'raw'nuruodo's flagship the Springhawk, was a merit-adoptive of the Ufsa family. After the militarily successful but politically disastrous Vagaari pirate operations, the Ufsa family Syndics covertly exchanged favors with members of the Defense Hierarchy Council to transfer command of the Springhawk from Senior Captain Thrawn to Samakro, although Thrawn's command of the Springhawk was restored not long after.
At the time of the attack on Csilla near the end of the Clone Wars, the Ufsa family was in competition against the Mitth family to establish a mining operation on Thearterra.
The Ufsa family first appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first book of The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
