The Twenty-First was a group within the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. The group operated during the Mid Rim Retreat, and was deployed to the planet Bestine IV in 3 ABY as part of a final coordinated effort to distract the forces of the Galactic Empire, allowing the Alliance Fleet to finish withdrawing from the Mid Rim. News of the Twenty-First's actions reached the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry and one of its sergeants, Maximian Ajax, passed the news on to First Sergeant Hazram Namir.
