This was a two way HoloNet transceiver implant and a mind-control device duplicating the effects of Nihil smokestone, allowing Imperials to eavesdrop on and transmit Triclops's thoughts to Imperial probe droids while sleeping. The New Republic had Triclops plant misinformation to the Imperials and learned that rare Macaab mushrooms from Arzid could destroy the implant without damaging Triclop's mind; however the operation was never performed.
