While trying to track down the Black Nebula crime lord Dequc on Qiaxx, Mara Jade briefly considered playing tregald as part of her cover while posing as a baroness. She discarded the idea since her Force abilities had diminished in the wake of the death of Emperor Palpatine and she could only pick up surface thoughts. Tomrus, a New Republic technician, was adept at playing tregald.
