CT-05 loading an SSD hyperdrive core into the Eye of Sion
Around 9 ABY, CT-05 was tasked by an Imperial remnant with transporting a refurbished Super Star Destroyer (SSD)'s hyperdrive core to the Denab system to be incorporated in the Eye of Sion, an extragalactic transportation vessel meant to retrieve the Galactic Empire's last Grand Admiral, Thrawn from a distant galaxy. Former Padawan Ahsoka Tano, with the help of New Republic General Hera Syndulla uncovered the plot and attempted to stop the transport from departing; when they failed to do so, Syndulla's astromech droid C1-10P instead planted a homing beacon on its hull to track it to its destination.
CT-05 first appeared in Part Two: Toil and Trouble, the second episode of the Disney+ television show Ahsoka, which premiered simultaneously with Part One: Master and Apprentice in August 22 2023.
