A tracking device was used by Naga Sadow during the golden age of the Sith Empire to trail the location of the Starbreaker 12. The device sent precise coordinates of its location in the galaxy back to Naga Sadow, and the transmitter's signal was eventually locked onto by Sadow's Sith invasion fleet in Galactic Republic space, where the Sith waged war against the Republic.
The beacon was green and dark blue in color. When active, the tracer made a continuous "beep" sound.
The tracking device was planted on the Starbreaker 12, the starship of the Human hyperspace explorers Jori and Gav Daragon, by Naga Sadow in the latter's attempt to conquer the Galactic Republic. The Starbreaker 12, with its sole pilot being Jori Daragon, was sent by Sadow from the Sith Empire during its golden age back to Republic space, allowing the Sith to gain direct access to the Republic. Crossing the fabric of hyperspace, Naga Sadow's Sith invasion fleet trailed the Starbreaker 12s tracer to the heart of Republic space, leading to the outbreak of the Great Hyperspace War.
