Tomo Camp

The Tomo Camp was a remote prisoner detention facility located in an area of rugged terrain known as the "Tomo Craters," on the planet Vanqor in the Uziel system.

Vanqor's expansionist government, under the rule of Van-Ith, created the detention facility to retain prisoners from other worlds in the Uziel system, planets that had been invaded and conquered by Vanqor.

Stripped of their clothing, the prisoners were given rough brown tunics to wear and herded into energy-fenced yards outside gray buildings and security towers; periodic "sweeps" were done, in which several prisoners were taken away for "medical experiments" in an unmarked building, from which no one ever returned.

Conducting these "experiments" was the galactic scientist Jenna Zan Arbor—widely considered to be deranged and evil—who used Vanqor as a hidden base for testing one of her drugs, the Zone of Self-Containment. The mad scientist was the driving force behind the Tomo Camp "sweeps" that were carried out upon its prisoners, who would then undergo Zan Arbor's drug-testing procedures.

In 25 BBY, imprisoned Jedi Anakin Skywalker—"Prisoner 42601"—was one of these drugged victims. He was captured and sent to the camp when he crash-landed on Vanqor while on a mission to Typha-Dor. Skywalker's Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi infiltrated the infamous camp to rescue his Padawan and resistance-fighter comrades. Though Kenobi escaped only with Skywalker, Jedi Siri Tachi later returned with a continent of Jedi Knights to free the other wrongfully detained prisoners.
