The throne room, as with the rest of the Palace's interior, was filmed on location inside Italy's Royal Palace of Caserta for both Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and its sequel Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. The Queen's desk and other furniture were set dressing for the films and not part of the real palace.
