The Wasteland

The Wasteland was a massive junkyard that covered a large section of the planet Metalorn during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. It was set aside to hold the scrap and debris left over from manufacturing processes, which was sorted through by the Techno Union so that true scrap could be incinerated while useful items were separated and reclaimed for reuse.

Circa 19 BBY, Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor gave Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan a tour of Metalorn, the highlight of which was the Wasteland.

The Wasteland first appeared in "Bailed Out," a 2006 Star Wars Legends comic written by Justin Lambros and featured in Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Volume 5.
