The Ring

In the current Star Wars canon, the Ring was first shown on a map in the eighteenth issue of the magazine series Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, which was published around May 6, 2015. It then appeared in Star Wars: Uprising, a canon mobile game developed by Kabam and released on September 10, 2015. Although it did not appear in the game's story missions or dialogue, the Ring was pictured on a map of the Anoat sector, in which Star Wars: Uprising took place.

The Ring was initially created for the Star Wars Legends continuity, in which it was first mentioned in "Galactic Gazetteer: Hoth and the Greater Javin," a 2004 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. In 2009, The Essential Atlas established that the Ring was a black dwarf. The Ring's nature was not specified within Build the Millennium Falcon or Star Wars: Uprising.
