During the Galactic Civil War, The Maker landed at an Alliance drop point on Gelgelar for supplies. While there, the drop point came under attack from an assassin droid that was onboard The Maker. Nofre Ecls hot-wired the main engine to the powergrid so the disabled freighter could be used for emergency evacuation of the drop point.
The Maker was equipped with a custom transponder mask that allowed it to use an alternate transponder code, identifying the vessel as One Shot.
