In 19 BBY, the Queen of Bardotta, Julia, was brought to the temple in order to be sacrificed in a ceremony which would transfer her Living Force into the Bardottan Sphere with the use of a device which could harness the power of a star. The ceremony was attended by the Great Mother, who had been directing the cult, but was foiled by the arrival of Jedi Master Mace Windu and Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks.
In the ensuing skirmish between the Frangawl Cult and the two Galactic Republic representatives, much of the temple was destroyed when the living sphere was broken and unleashed a shockwave. The Great Mother, in actuality Mother Talzin, disappeared in failure and Queen Julia was returned to Bardotta.
