The Tarinna, also known as Critonian story vampires, were a sentient species that fed on experiences and memories. The cartographer Emil Graf, along with the droids CR-8R and BB-00 and the Kowakian monkey-lizard Noni, encountered a Tarinna in the Lost Library of Nelgenam, who fed on Graf's memories. With the help of his companions, Graf was saved, but had lost the memories of numerous stories he had been told in the process.
