Targes scanner

The Targes scanner was a device that was utilized aboard starships during the High Republic Era. The scanner picked up vibrations in order to detect incoming craft exiting hyperspace. The device was developed by the engineer Vam Targes, who installed such a system into the research vessel Innovator. Though the Innovator was destroyed and Targes killed in the Nihil attack on the Valo Republic Fair, the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order continued to use the device that came to be known as the Targes scanner aboard starships and space stations.
