Tallaga was one of the largest cities on the planet Sucharme, and was the location of a Trade Federation garrison, Tallaga Garrison, prior to the Battle of Naboo.
When the planetary government failed to pay an outstanding debt, the Federation shut down the Tallaga garrison and launched an invasion of Sucharme. However, many of the garrison's officers and soldiers escaped before the lock-down, including Major Veril Acamma, and aided in launching a counter-strike with the armed forces against the invaders. The Federation was eventually forced to abandon its invasion attempt.
