A tahiko was a kinship clade, made up of families of Aleena, the native species of Aleen. Each tahiko could make up an entire settlement of Aleena, and the tahiko's eldest member served as a representative to the main government of Aleen. The government in turn elects the King of Aleen, a largely ceremonial role usually held by an influential priest.
