A starfleet was under the command of Imperial Army Chief General Cassio Tagge shortly prior to the Battle of Yavin. During a meeting of the Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military, Tagge warned that the Rebel Alliance was too dangerous and well-equipped. Imperial Navy Chief Admiral Conan Antonio Motti rebuffed Tagge, stating that the Rebels were only dangerous to his starfleet, not to the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station.
Following the destruction of the Death Star and Tagge's elevation to Grand General and Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military, the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Annihilator served as his flagship while under construction.
