Taanab Yellow Aces

The Taanab Yellow Aces was a volunteer starfighter squadron. Formed and commanded by Wes Janson of Rogue Squadron fame during the Yuuzhan Vong War, the unit's name was a tribute to the Tierfon Yellow Aces of Tierfon and Janson's homeworld of Taanab. Janson had served in the Tierfon Yellow Aces with Jek Tono Porkins during the early years of the Rebel Alliance. The squadron flew a mix of yellow RZ-1 A-wing interceptors and E-wing escort starfighters that featured distinct angular black striping. During the Liberation of Coruscant, the squadron also included X-wing starfighters.

Following the Battle of Coruscant, the Yellow Aces joined with the New Republic's massed forces at Borleias. After serving as escorts during the crucial resupply of Borleias, the Yellow Aces worked within the new Galactic Alliance to free prisoners held by the Yuuzhan Vong at Selvaris.
