A sun was located within the Unknown Regions' Sunrise system. It was orbited by the planet Sunrise and could be seen from the planet. The Chiss Ascendancy did not have a data list for the star; however, they identified the star's spectrum to be compatible with standard life-form parameters. In 18 BBY, after a battle against the Grysk, the Pathfinder navigator Qilori was sitting in a dining area in a mining compound on Sunrise, where he watched the red clouds surrounding the sun while it was setting. Shortly after, the Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo was looking at the star's fading light while sitting on a rock in the mining compound before Qilori approached him.
