Stealth Squadron, originally known as Gray Flight, was a Rebel starfighter squadron formed shortly after the Battle of Yavin. The squadron was a secret squadron with only Mon Mothma knowing of their existence outside of the team's members. The squadron was tasked with discovering an Imperial spy infiltrated in the Alliance along with finding a suitable planet on which the alliance could set up a new base.
Stealth Squadron pilots flew dark painted brand new X-wing starfighters provided by Incom Corporation and considered clean of any homing beacon.
The squadron was led by Princess Leia Organa and Wedge Antilles as her second-in-command. In addition to Organa and Antilles, the squadron included seven other pilots selected for their skills and loyalty.
