Star Wars: Return of the Jedi: Death Star Battle

The cover art was designed by the renowned sci-fi artist John Berkey, who designed some of the earliest poster art for Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope in 1976.

Publisher's summary

Just when you thought the DEATH STAR had been reduced to dust—it's making a comeback! Piece by piece, the Empire's reconstructing the ultimate space station. Its completion would mean unthinkable power for the Imperial forces!

The DEATH STAR must be destroyed... once and for all!

Development

Early materials from Parker Brothers initially referred to the game as Star Wars: Revenge of the Jedi: Game II, and then Star Wars: Return of the Jedi: Game II. The ultimately canceled Ewok Adventure game was Game I. Some early materials feature placeholder artwork featuring the battle at the sarlaac pit instead of the film's space battle.

A version for Intellivision was at one point slated for October 1983 but was never released.
