Stak (cadet)

Stak was a clone cadet who became a prisoner of the Galactic Empire shortly after the end of the Clone Wars. Many cadets, including Stak, were transferred off planet Kamino and brought to a secret Imperial medical laboratory overseen by Doctor Royce Hemlock. There, samples of the clones' blood were taken for experimentation.

When the Empire lost control of an experimental weapon at the facility, they began to evacuate their forces there. During this, Stak and his brothers Mox and Deke escaped the facility. Shortly after, the Empire called an orbital bombardment to eliminate all evidence of their operations there. Stak and the others would live in the surrounding forest, being careful to avoid the Slither Vines and using their training to stay alive together.

One day, when Stak and Deke encountered Hunter and Wrecker near the northern ridge, who were searching for Hemlock's laboratory. The two brought them back to their camp, where they explained to Mox that they were looking for their lost squad-mate. When Hunter suggested looking inside the ruins of the laboratory for information, Stak spoke up and said that there was no way they would lead them there, as there were too many Slither Vines and the whole area was toxic. When Deke decided to lead them there anyway, Stak tried to talk him down, but Deke refused and left, leading the two visitors towards the ruins of the base.

While Deke, Hunter, and Wrecker were gone, Stak tried to convince Mox to take their visitor's ship and leave the planet. Stak saw the opportunity to finally escape Setron, but Mox refused to leave Deke behind. When Stak pointed out that the slither vines could destroy the ship and close their window of escape, Mox began to consider it and told Stak to bring him to the ship. Stak was able to hotwire the ship's door and enter, although they decided not to leave when Deke contacted them via comlink asking for help. They then flew the ship to rescue the three clones inside the facility.

After being freed from their solitude on Setron, the three young clones were taken to refuge on Pabu. They later ate ice cones there. After CX-2 destroyed the Marauder, Hunter told Stak and Mox to evacuate Wrecker to Shep's home for treatment, while Deke was assigned to get AZI-3 to treat Wrecker's injuries.
